Basic "Static"
Web Pages on Your Site
Some consider these the “boring” pages? But these
pages are important because they let your customers know who
you are, how to contact you, and what your policies are.
The pages listed below are the minimum recommended pages
of this type. Are there others? Yes! If you have more information
that is not covered by any of the other features listed in
this design guide, then you should have a static page for
that information.
About
Us |
| |
The About Us page gives your customer a little information
about your company. It can include how long you have
been in business, photos of your store and descriptions
of the people you have working in your business. The
important thing is to allow people to be comfortable
with your business.
If you do not want to include a lot of information
on an About Us page, this page can be combined with
the Contact Us page below.

Contact
Us |
| |
The Contact Us page allows your customers to find out
how to communicate with your business. This may be to
buy something, or it may be to resolve a customer-service
question. You should include Phone Numbers, E-Mail addresses, and Postal
Addresses on the Contact Us page.
Sometimes response forms are used on the Contact Us
page so that you let people know exactly what information
to give you so you can answer their questions. As an
example, see our Contact
Us page where we gather information about what sort
of web site development project you want to do, so that
we can be prepared when we call you on the phone.

Return
Policies/Shipping Policies |
| |
When you are selling goods over the Internet, it is
very important that your return and shipping policies
are clearly displayed on your web site.
Just about every company’s return and shipping
policies are different, so take some time to decide
what policies are appropriate for your company.
