The African American Registry (AARegistry.com) is a site about African American History and as such has always seen cyclical traffic patterns. Specifically, February is a high traffic month because it is Black History Month, and the summer months are lower traffic months because schools are out of session.

Our search engine optimization project was to attract more visitors to the site during all months of the year. To do this we redesigned every event page on the site to attract traffic.

The original site normally attracted between 2,000 and 4,000 unique visitors a month, with February attracting 8,000 unique visitors.

After our site optimization (2003), The African American Registry (aaregistry.com), attracted between 33,000 and 72,000 unique visitors each month with 114,000 unique visitors in February. Today the site attracts between 92,000 and 160,000 unique visitors each month with 270,000 unique visitors in February.
